Kawalimus posted:No there wouldn't be. A cup is a cup. I bet it's rare that a team doesn't go through another with some sort of injury issue en route to one. It's part of the game. Now if the hit was blatantly dirty or something, maybe. But I didn't see the hit so I don't know. Ovie slashed Crosby so hard that his 130 flex stick looked like a spaghetti noodle, then Niskanen cross-checked him in the head as he fell. Was it dirty? Playoff hockey, friend. FWIW Niskanen said in the post game presser that he wasn't trying to cross check him "that hard"

So, sorta?

Levitate posted:One day I hope that we'll be able to watch hockey games even if we're not at the arena instead of having to listen via radio. Maybe one day we'll even be able to see multiple camera angles and it'd be really swell if they could replay stuff and maybe even slow it down so we can see what happened. Listen, generational wealth goon, this contextless video that I watched on my Macbook combined with my magical ability to impose intent to the players is a much better vantage than your undeserved seats along the glass lol

You look at Phil Kessel, and it just boggles the mind that this man who looks like the Ur Goon stumbling around skates, half-tripping until until he reaches speeds that just seem to defy the laws of physics relative to his body type -- chasing pucks, red-faced and trying to meekly forecheck, wheeling around like a kid on figure skates, lurking in the slot while desperately trying not to topple over forward while he fumble fucks around with the puck on his stick. It's fascinating watching how fast he somehow gets into his shooting motion, and unleashes that wrist shot. I just can't get enough of him.

It isn't calculus that he isn't suited to being a 200', 2-way player, and any time he attempts something defensively is just gravy. Who even has a prettier shot than Fat Hotdog Guy? Ovie?
