what series do you guys think will be the most fun to watch? i feel like i gotta binge on as much playoff hockey as possible and i'll be watching cbj-pens anyway. i'll probably watch leafs-caps to hate-root against the caps but fat chance that isn't a curb stomp series

you just know that if the leafs win game 1 or something there's going to be a not-insignificant chunk of the caps fanbase that starts getting nervous against their better judgement. plus the leafs can't break anybody's hearts without first giving them hope, so basically we should all hope the leafs win a game or two

the crosby-dubinsky matchup doesn't seem to be going that great for cbj considering dubinsky's taken a bunch of dumb penalties against crosby that the penguins subsequently scored on and he was on the ice when crosby worked the jackets behind the net to set up the OT winner

According to the NHL rulebook (under Rule 8 - injured players, I'd copy paste it but its too annoying on tablet) it basically says that officials may whistle the play dead at their discretion if they think the injury is serious but aren't required to do so until the injured player's team recovers the puck, and the subsection specifcally for bleeding players simply says that the player "shall be ruled off the ice at the next stoppage of play." The refs could have blown it dead if they wanted to, and it would have been justified by the rules, but they also did nothing wrong by the rulebook by letting play continue.
