Chair In A Basket posted:PK takes the cup to Toronto. This doesn't happen for another 2 years or so. He would have to demand a trade first and I think he'll try to make things work in Nashville before the allure of bringing the cup home becomes too much.

You can tell who the playoff posters are when people start blaming things on Toronto's awful goaltending. Andersen's been great all year.

shyduck posted:Have the Leafs been this entertaining to watch all season? More entertaining. Mitch Marner hasn't been a big factor so far in the series, and he pulls the most ridiculous poo poo when he's on.

Poor Oilers :[ Hopefully Chiarelli will take this game as a sign they still need help and then he can trade Looch for a non-playoff team's 1st rounder and maybe it will turn into a 1st overall and then they could get a good player to help the team do better next year and win the Stanley Cup imo.

With Polak out LAS is confused about where to direct their ire.

PK's got to be pretty happy with the way things worked out between Therrien and himself. Now that he lives in the Southern U.S. he can enjoy warmer weather, a better chance at the cup, and less casual racism from his fans.

Honestly the only thing that would piss me off about Ottawa winning the cup would be having Chris Neil's name on it. MacArthur and Phaneuf both got poo poo on by a lovely Toronto front office/coach and a lovely Toronto media, respectively, and it would be nice for them to see the same kind of redemption that Kessel got (albeit in much lesser roles). It seems like most Canadian hockey fans that live in different cities from their teams (or at least the one's I've met to date) cheer for Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver so I'm really not worried about meeting insufferable Ottawa fans.

Just your yearly reminder that Phil's perceived "doesn't play the game the right way/locker room cancer" character issues originated from Jack Johnson, who is probably not the best judge of character.
