I never liked the Persona 4 anime's take on the protagonist, but even ignoring that it's not very good outside of a handful of episodes. I was a P4 superfan and I never even bothered to finish the anime.

I did like the Shadow Mitsuo boss fight episode because the protag actually used multiple personas that time.

But yeah, the anime was pretty much unneeded.

This was the moment in the game where my feelings toward Kamoshida went from "okay this guy is an abusive rear end, he should go to jail or something" to "...if he dies, he dies."

Madarame was a pretty weak villain for me personally...until that whole "I let a seizure victim die" line. As someone who has parents with epilepsy, that poo poo made me want that fucker dead instantly.

Some believed it to be a publicity/viral stunt, a "ruse" to get people into the theme of the game, which is DISRESPECTING AUTHORITY.

Even if that were true (and it seems like it was, seeing as how no one really got hit by copyright strikes), it was way too realistic, given that quite a few companies copyright claim any footage of their games at a moment's notice. So it naturally put a lot of people off from streaming/LPing the game.

Yeah, the "twist" is that this was never a murder-mystery game.

It's a heist game. And in pretty much every heist film/show/book, the "traitor" is always known.

I actually also got the double craft proc on the eternal lockpicks on my first playthrough, which had me worried that the EL was only a multi-use tool instead of unlimited-use.

Don't know why they didn't bother flagging that item as un-proccable, but whatever.
