Am I crazy for thinking the Ryzen 5 1600 would be a decent option for a non-gaming home workstation? Paired with an efficient 4GB GPU, and 16GB of system RAM.

Yeah, I think blowfish may have some very specific workstation purposes in mind. My post and intention aren't including ECC.

This is for a home base productivity setup (the sole desktop in the house) and the crazy core/thread count appeals to me.
