Just voted. Excited about the Soviet book, huge fan of non-fic rather than just books you read in English AP. Looking forward to the next iteration where I can plunk some recommendations down.

Reading the first chapter right now, feels like an extended New Yorker article, which is extremely my jam. So far how much that can happen in a short amount of time (months) seems to be the big thing to draw from. Feels like it could be paired pretty well with that BBC doc on Hypernormalization.
