I also signed up for pre-release and have never owned a magic card. I have completed the first 30 or so missions on the iPhone game though so I am all set to win the whole thing.

There are a lot of seattle people in here. I might have to head out to Card Kingdom soon. As a new player I am really interested in the Amonkhet league they have starting Sunday night but it's kind of a far drive (Tacoma area) and it really isn't worth it if there are not a bunch of other people also doing it. I went to a few of my local shops and no one ever showed up during the event times to do it.

Lol my LGS got a warning from Wizards and is currently delisted on the site because they say the amount of people they are reporting for FNMs is too high for a new store. The last three weeks has been 16, 16 and 18 people. Apparently they are going to be contacting people asking them to confirm they were in attendance.

It seems like making cards that drained or slowed energy gain would help a bit. Maybe even an effect that would make spent energy damage the player so missed spins would have a more of a downside.

Marshall seems like a good guy and I enjoy his commentary. The two they had hosing the GP in Amsterdam last weekend though were really entertaining. Marshall gets points for last week when coming back from a break and seeing that the match on screen was going to be marvel said "nah let's get that out of here" and switched to a different table.

Well at least this leaked early enough that they can alter their marketing plans and don't have to proceed as if it didn't happen. It does suck that the next spoiler week won't be till early January... unless you are really excited for commons.

So it looks like there will be a cycle of lands that taps for one mana source and can be cycled. They showed a Forest that cycles for 1G ETB tapped. It was a common.
