less of one than the conservative party

this is generally a bunch of zionists whining that the labour party doesn't want to roll over and let them silence any criticism of israel.

There are antisemites in the labour party as there are in probably any sufficiently large group of people. There are actually fewer than in other political parties in britain and their numbers apparently have actually gone down during Corbyn's leadership. So in that respect whether "labour" has an antisemitism problem depends on what you call an antisemitism problem but if they do, it's less of one than anyone else in britain apparently has.

As for corbyn himself, he has a long long history of being pro-palestine which means he has probably shared platforms with actual antisemites on occasion because it's really hard for a backbench MP to exhaustively research the views of everyone he goes to the same event as for decades, and also his criticism of Israel in of itself provokes reaction from three groups: those who think israel isn't doing anything wrong and thus the only reason to be criticizing it is antisemitism, those who think israel isn't doing anything wrong and thus accusations of antisemitism are a useful way to deal with any criticism of israel, and those who just plain old don't want corbyn to succeed politically and and see accusations of antisemitism as a useful tool to prevent that.

accusations of anti-Semitism against Corbyn are the ones that have stuck most because of Britain's unflinching bootlicking of Israel in recent times, just by suggesting Palestinians shouldn't be gunned down in the streets he is an enemy of major Jewish political groups who all get the media spotlight whereas the Jewish groups that agree with Corbyn are told to gently caress off and stay quiet

the "problem" is that they recognize how lovely israel is, which israel has a vested interest in conflating with antisemitism

it’s so transparent that the journos are going to run with it so they can brag to one another they know the “truth”

also, these anti Semitic attack’s against Corbyn have now not only lost their shock value, but a fair number of people I know are starting to say they think there’s some media conspiracy afoot , which is probably not their intention

my pet theory is he wants to take back UKIP but it’s being poisoned by Russian money and probably infiltrated by the FSB anyway, so he’s trapped outside and unable to get back into politics which is super frustrating for him

I thought farage was also backed by russian crime money since he runs in the same circles and UKIP completely vanished once brexit was voted on so he clearly had a singular agenda

jeremy corbyn went to events where jewish holocaust survivors said what Israel was doing in Palestine was a hideous betrayal of "never again."

the usual right-wing suspects have decided this means he wants to see all jews destroyed

well i mean "centerism" is just PR for a specific blend of hyper free market neoliberalism and their ideological differences tend to be even more vicious because they all pretend to not have an ideology, not less. but it's not that it's who's running poo poo.

It is not about the time zone, but that the EU will no longer change the clocks twice a year, and there is a chance the UK will continue to do so, meaning that there will probably be general confusion, people showing up an hour late or early for appointments, etc. So for half the year Northern Ireland will be an hour ahead or behind the Republic.

And though I suppose this applies between the EU and everywhere, I imagine it will be most annoying for the UK
