there it seems like the dems are the sensible party and the gop are the wacko one while here it's the opposite and you have labour people saying that mao was good or that the financial crisis was also good because of accelerationism

So Corbyn or not, it seems that Brexit hasn't had an 'even' effect of the UK political landscape - it's boosted the conservatives significantly while cutting labor up. That's totally nuts.

Essentially, the migrant politics of the last couple of decades, is leading to a fairly substantial long-term right-wing turn in europe. The UK is the first, but I fully expect that, in a couple of years, countries in the EU are just going to start threatening to bomb any refugee ships they see in the med.

theres basically no way that the west doesn't immediately spiral into full fascism now once global warming causes a few more refugee crises right?

i don't know if integration actually matters. most of the people who support anti-immigrant parties live in almost entirely white towns, the only way they know about immigrants is through the media.

most of these people are just straight up ethnic nationalists. only ethnic british people are british, and only british people get to use our public services/work here/live here at all

i'm not sure if it was meant to make us competitive against our fellow man or what

they're some vestigial aspect of boarding schools, where the houses were literal buildings where students lived, iirc

ours were based on what form you were in in year 7 and 8 so i guess they at least gave you some sense of collective identity with your classmates.
we got merits which were little stickers you would put in your planner and if you got 100 in a year you'd get a badge, and if your house got the most, they'd put your house colour ribbons on the house trophy

Yes. It was set to be a bloodbath.

I like that aside from the champagne, the banquet of food we will all eat under Labour is dressed up paupers food. Potato, pasta (looks disguising, lol England), a slab of bread and a beef patty.

basically all of the rest have adverts. but less than americans iirc, an average of 7 minutes an hour
