I mean, it wasn't too long ago, historically speaking, that we were saying that humans weren't meant to fly and talking about the hubris of Icarus, as if many people don't routinely fly across the planet in a few days. I'm willing to take the risk, because I don't rate the idea that "sleep" is the threshold for "posthuman horror end of days" highly.
