On my second date with a girl we get into a car accident where her passenger side door is smashed while we made a left turn. She ended up having to stay in the hospital for a week and then in a rehab hospital for a month with a fractured hip and a broken arm. She had to practice and learn how to walk again. She broke up with me six months later and then 2 years after the accident sued me for $3 million.

The lawyer never told me exactly how much she got, probably because she was paid by the insurance company, but I know it was less than $1 million since that was all the liability insurance I had and I'd have to pay anything above that out of pocket. In Canada, lawsuit winnings tend to be for a lot less than the US. Thank goodness.
