Stalin bears no responsibility for the many, many atrocities committed during his time as General Secretary, because the Soviet Union was a democracy, not a dictatorship, with authority widely distributed, and inasmuch as mistakes were made, they were made at lower levels in the chain of command. Also, Stalin was a socialist übermensch who single-handedly defeated fascism and saved us all from having to learn Japanese. Thank you, Comrade Stalin!

R. Guyovich posted:how about you try proving it's a false equivalency instead of farting all over the keyboard, dipshit Okey dokey! Your claim is that the "personality cults" of the Founders is comparable to that of e.g. the Kims. So I challenge you to go digging through all the David Barton-esque dreck that you like, and see if you can find something comparable to the following, chosen from a randomly selected page in the DPRK's official biography of its Dear Leader: quote:Comrade Kim Jong Il taught that the slogan of imbuing the whole of society with the Juche idea was the ultimate programme of the Party because this slogan elucidated the supreme goal of the Party and the basic way of attaining it. The whole book is like this.
