Had a Hanamura game where the payload spawned on the other side of the map. All of us but Genji weren't close to it. The Genji was doing whatever and could easily have hopped on over to get that payload moving Can you guys what happened  Good to see Genji players staying on brand though edit: also there are so many people angry that Blizzard DECEIVED them because of the teaser images and then having the hero reveal be D.Va.

The payload map seems kinda dumb. Killing a fort just makes your next payload do 1 extra damage? So why push the payload rather than just capping the turrets first?

i was waiting to play the game again until 2.0 hit and i'm not disappointed. barely hit lv40 so it gave me a solid amount of fun stuff and then i was a dummy and spent my 1000 gems on more chests instead of a stimpack or something, whoops. you got me good, blizzmans game is more fun than I remember it being, and I honestly think the speed of earning new rewards helps a lot with that. when i lose a match badly but still get loot it makes me feel better and keep playing instead of being a baby and quitting 20 free heroes also helps a lot, though there's still a ton i wanna get that weren't in the support/specialist bundle. got that one because it covered the most on my wishlist but there's plenty to save up for. what's the frequency of earning non-loot-box rewards? i feel like i understand the loot box stuff now but i'm not sure when i get more gems or gold from leveling and stuff

You get a trickle of gems as you level buuuut the primary source of gems is cash moneys. Aside from stimpacks though nothing is gems only.

I'm really shocked at how generous Blizzard was to veterans, I got so much stuff from all my chests. I got 3 legendaries in my free chests. One of then was the rad Arthas skin that turns him into an Pandaria style dude and makes all of his abilities jade instead of ice. Another one was the legendary horse that matches his outfit. This is exciting to me because I play Arthas a lot!

After a spin on Hanamura I think constant camp clearing is going to be the default approach, to give your team as many advantages as they can get.

Garden and Blackheart is fixable by turning them into two-lane maps and turning their objectives into a struggle over who gets to control the plant / cannons instead of giving both teams the plant/cannon.

More two lane maps is the last thing we need. Battlefield of Eternity is already the biggest shitshow in the game by a mile, Haunted Mines comes in an easy second, and Hanamura looks like it might take third. I'll take a hundred Blackhearts or Gardens over one Battlefield any day. Two lane maps just blow. Except for Braxis which manages to be fun somehow.

Dragonblade is almost certainly going to get nerfed. It does so much massively more damage than X-Strike, it's easier to hit, it's less mana, kills with it reset Swift Strike.... Apparently Genji is already scoring a winrate above 55% and I'm pretty sure Dragonblade is a big part of it. The rest of his kit is good but not that good (it's comparable to Li-Ming and Tracer).

Did they ever buff Chen in the last few months? He was always my favorite warrior but he never felt all that effective unless the enemy fell for the Taunt button

I love the Vikings, but the bummer of them is that their best maps are Gardens, Booty Bay, and probably payload. When I'm them in QM I'm stoked to get those maps, any other time I'm not.

Haha that Valeera patch note reads like it was churned out in a 10 second panic. They use "reduce" twice in the first sentence and the second sentence...isn't a sentence. Outright deleting a talent without a replacement feels weird. She was probably OP in QM but I feel like pushing her in a slightly more sustained damage direction with a smaller attendant nerf was probably a better idea. Yeah I played a lot of Valeera, so what? Also her Eviscerate damage in game at level 1 reads as 88 where its 85 in the notes. Is that a genuine discrepancy or some weird stat fuckery?

Same levelling as Overwatch if you're familiar with it, you don't lose anything or reset anything when you hit level 100, your level just goes back to 1 and the border on your icon changes. People who care will still know what level you are.

I'm not a fan of hanamura. It was QM and my team refused to touch the lanes, at all and they other team had a sylv rotating both lanes. This has probably colored my perception. I've never seen an actual 5 level lead though, 12-17. This is for sure the most snowbally map I've seen.

Hanamura seems kind of confusing, like it involves multitasking things in a different way from the normal lane-based structure of maps while also pretending to be a lane-based map? i feel like if the payloads were there from the start and the creeps followed the payload paths instead of the static lanes then the map would feel more logical and be easier to understand. as it is, it feels half-finished. or like a brawl gimmick mode
