Thrall, Zag, Gaz, Alarak, and other strong solo laners shoud go do their own thing. Someone like Sylv really needs to be paired with a bruiser to give her room to go deep on towers. Having Vikings on your (or the opposing) team changes everything. Illidan, Samuro, or Sonya on your team will split for mercs at vrious times on different maps and your team will have to cover soak. Pre 10, the most important thing in the game is XP - soak is king.

Your solo lane should be someone who has strong sustain like Thrall/Sonya or someone with a global so they can hearth and come back like Dahaka/Falstad. Remember your number one job as the solo is to soak XP and not die, not push the lane.

It's already been covered in greater detail, but the biggest point is unlike other mobas (in my experience) strategy changes dramatically based on map and team comp. Without being exhaustive - lost Vikings, murky, abathur, sylvanas, and really most specialists can pretty dramatically change your teams strategy due to unique mechanics. And that's not even looking at the maps.

Unranked is also the helldump for every toxic shithead who doesn't want to QM but can't play HL because they're silenced, so it's a bit of a crapshoot

FYI for everyone, you can redeem one megabundle in each region, so it's worth logging on to NA/EU (whichever isn't your main region) to get 20 free heroes in case you ever want to play with a friend in another region.

i'm level 7 with genzi and i don't know if he's good in this game yet. he's really difficult to pin down or escape from, but his damage reflects that. he's like a mix of li-ming and tracer i guess he's fun though. he's got some cute quirks, like his massive ranged kill-stealing with his W and the ability to look extremely powerful when his team is already winning. i reckon those two will earn him an angry reddit post or two

If you don't want to use a modifier key, you can just do it from the "Hotkeys" menu under Basic (select the A button, and it will give you your attack move options even if you don't want it to be A). If you want Shift+RightClick, you have to set it manually in your Commands config file that I can't remember off the top of my head, but will be happy to post when I get off work if nobody has sniped me by then. To get it to work right you need to go in to ADvanced and unbind Shift as your Queue Commands key, and then bam you're done after those two changes. [EDIT] Yes, it took me like half an hour of fiddling to figure this stuff out. I am slow.

The amount of assasins who will happily ult a reflecting genii right next to you and your front line is endless. Fuuuuck. I snagged a victory on the new map with Abathur when the opposing team left our x2 payload(the only payload) alone to go do other stuff after my team was wiped. They wandered off and I burrowed in to move it the last little bit. It felt really good.

On a windows machine, go to your Documents -> Heroes of the Storm -> Accounts -> <string of numbers representing your account> -> Hotkeys and then click on the text file representing your custom hotkey profile. If one doesn't show up, just go rename a profile in game, even if you don't change anything it should show up. Then under the "Hotkeys" section, this is how I have my attack move set up: CommandButton10=A,Shift+RightMouseButton That line probably won't exist on its own, just add it and set it to whatever you want and save the file. You'll want to be sure HOTS is closed while you're modifying it obviously. Then you just go in game and unbind Shift as your Queue Command modifier, and bam, you're good to go. Add the option to make auto attack target what is near your cursor rather than your hero if you prefer that like I do, that's just a checkbox in options.

Auriel with this build is fp/ban tier IMO. Nearly as much damage as a carry, top everybody off nearly on cooldown and every teamfight is 6v5. So please don't tell everyone and get it nerfed okay guys?

I assume if I want ~maximum value~ there's no shard refund or whatever for buying a megabundle with heroes I already own? Kinda wish I could dust skins I don't like. Purifier Artanis is nice but the red colour scheme is the worst one and it's the one I got. I also got a legendary skin for Zagara who I never play.

Kael began to Pyro, ninja'd my way near him, and POP Also, I haven't had a problem with fighting Anub at all as Genji - he has pretty clear tells for his CC. As well, if you take the Shuriken talent that does bonus damage if all 3 shurikens hit the same target, tanks melt pretty loving fast. The worst for Genji are hard targeted CC's - namely Brightwing, Uther, Diablo/Tyrael + any burst assassin. Medihv can be a pain too not only because of Polymorph, but saving people from being killed by blade when you decide to dive in thinking you have a for sure way out. Edit: Also, the level 1 talent that extends your jump distance and shortens it's cooldown when used from a mount is goddamn bonkers for roaming lanes. Don't overlook it.

It's a game, and genre, based on an RTS. It is really noticable with regards to the Overwatch characters since 3/4ths of them are some of the fastest characters in Overwatch the FPS which makes it stand out a bit more. Lucio has a bunch of talents that play off his wallriding ability though which increase his speed even more as well as talents which increase his green speed boost aura's effect but focusing on making Lucio super-fast isn't necessarily gonna be that helpful. The one that always fucks with me is that Tracer's recall doesn't heal you until level 20 which means there's an entirely different dynamic to using it in HotS as opposed to Overwatch.

What always messes me up with that isn't so much the regular movement as it is the fact that when you blink with Tracer she continues moving in the direction she was moving before you hit blink, which means if you don't very quickly manually adjust her movement what happens is you blink back to try and get out of someone's way but she immediately begins moving towards them again.
