so genji is the last hero I don't have at 5 and I figured I'd slog through to it. I hate illidan and thrall and Kerrigan, I like ragnaros but am bad with him, Melee assassins just aren't my thing and I'm not good at mobility.

Queuing into TL with two friends, our two man partner duo says "we're going Cho'gall." This after my friend locks in Probius.

Uh, ok. We draft around that, I take Morales and my other friend takes Varian to peel.

They obviously draft to counter with Genji, Butcher and Valla.

We wrecked them. It wasn't close to being close. Turns out Cho'gall is mean af when someone knows what they're doing. He pushed lanes down by himself and swatted down anyone who came close.

played auriel for the first time since the res buff and I think res is just the good ult now. I've been steadily less happy with aegis over time and res just seems really potent as a tool to both snowball an advantage and recover from a gank

algalon's trait would be that certain abilities fade you to the astral realm for a short time which replaces the background texture with stars and causes you to take increased damage from his attacks and abilities

talents to make auto attacks apply it, increase the duration, increase vuln, maybe one that makes collapsing stars leave voids as they die

Yesterday had a 40 minute shrines game. We dominated early but right before we could close it out we fell apart, couldn't get a pick or win a teamfight after that. They had Samuel and Zul'jin and just deleted us too fast. We won a couple of publishers but they pounced and 2 or 3 for 0'd us right after so it was wasted. Fortunately it was 6 forts to 0 at the time we stepped on our dicks so eventually minions just won it for us.

This is even more startling given the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, another foundation of quantum mechanics. This principle explains that a scientist can measure either the momentum and position of a particle�but not both. The Varian Particle throws a massive quantum wrench into the mix.
�We always know the momentum of the Varian Paritcle,� von Kleiburn says. �It always moves toward the enemy team as fast as it can.� This principle is known informally as the Varian Constant. And yet, researchers learned that if they measured the Varian Particle�s position first, they could unquestionably measure its state.
CERN scientists released the beguilingly simple equation behind the Varian Particle: VT1=Vtb.
This means, according to von Kleiburn, if a Varian is on the team of the observer, the newly discovered Varian Particle will compel that Varian to be in the state known as Twin Blades. �If, however,� he continues, �the Varian is on the team opposite the observer, the Varian will be in the state we call �Taunt.��
von Kleiburn says that scientists were baffled when they first observed the particle in action. �It�s statistically impossible for a particle with two potential states to end up 100% of the time in one state,� he says, �but the Varian Particle manages it. Even when conditions would appear to favor the other state, Taunt, if the observer�s position is on the same team as the Varian: Twin Blades.�
In the end, both Heisenberg and Schr�dinger appear incorrect. �We know its position: on our team. We know its momentum: forward at c, or the speed of light. And we can predict its state with complete accuracy.�
Attempts to split the Varian Particle in the Large Hadron Collider have met with an unexpected challenge: the particle appears to be able to protect itself indefinitely. Scientists have therefore not yet fully uncovered the full implications of their discovery. Already, they believe it my provide an explanation for loss-streaks, high blood pressure, and rage. �It appears, strangely enough, that this quantum particle is also part of the formation of NaCl,� von Kleiburn adds. �It�s truly remarkable.�
Some researchers at CERN have suggested a third possible state for the Varian Particle called �Colossus Smash,� but this state has never been observed in the laboratory or the field.

sometimes a special mount is your trait (Rehgar). Sometimes it's not (Dehaka). Sometimes you only have one ult (Tracer). Sometimes you have three (Varian). Sometimes you start with no Q, W or E (Vikings). Sometimes you get all three plus a 1 (Xul).

just had a sweet TL game where we had good communication
act 1: drafted varian + D Va (me), malf to heal, valla for some ranged DPS and poke, we wanted a DPS last. my buddy shows chromie, a character he has at hero level 47. varian's like "uh chromie can't damage the immortal, can you do ming?" i stick up for my buddy's chromie pick and they grudgingly accept it
act 2: our varian goes full twin blades build and i basically have to solo tank as d va
act 3: we loving shithouse them with chromie doing the lion's share of the work. their kaelthas never finishes his level 1 quest.

I bombed my placements this time, and almost every single loss was directly attributable to one specific window licking idiot on the team. Two games in a row it was the same person. Then I placed gold 5, giving me a HUGE climb back up to where I was, and lost my first two games for the same reason-- one due to a feeding Sylv who ended the game with 12 deaths, half the team's total, and the other to a dehaka who was allergic to being near the team and died over and over trying to split push.

I'm tilted as hell right now.
