Olympic Mathlete posted:Decent quality but ultimately sub-Chris King parts. Also means you have things branded 'Phil' on your bike Ahhh. Right And I bet they dont have the swarm of angry bees sound. Cause BEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZ is one of the best ways to alert pedestrians ever. I have Xentis Silver 4.2 wheels, those hubs have been v.good. Specialized finally got their hubs sorted and the Roval 60's on the bike right now are fantastic. Part of that will be the cermaic bearings but pretty drat sweeeeeet. quote:It's almost impressive how unenjoyable DC's last few have been. Hope they don't gently caress up Wonder Woman because she was the sole bright spot in BvS. Suicide Squad was just.... bad. Moan of Steel and BvS I thought had the glimpses of a good movie in them at least. I thought MoS was dour but on the other hand the Kryptonians and Superman's powers were depicted really well. It sold the "This guy can wipe out the planet single handed" so much better than previous attempts - better than any Marvel movie and their heros. I'd also disagree WW was the only bright spot in BvS, Batfleck was drat good for the most part. FFS tho, that movie should have been edited a lot better and Lex Luthor redone. Seminal Flu posted:Here's a crazy thought -- maybe they're BOTH good hubs and the real challenge is to see that. And you accuse me of being a dick? Piss off. nm posted:Chris Kings are for when you want to win the race. Well... I disagree with that assessment, mostly because Kings are built to do MTB style drop ins even in road form - the current R45's have outlasted two frames and three rims, which is not unusual for Ck's at all. I would contend they are a gold standard just by how much punishment they are proven to take and shrug it off.

nm posted:King won't even make a tandem hub with more than 36 holes. It indicates what they're designing for and it ain't the apocalypse of freds on 100lb bikes. ?????? CK's are designed to take the kind of punishment that is inflicted when you do MTB style dropins. That's an indication they are built for people like me who arent 40kgs and hammer the poo poo out of their bikes daily - I'm not alone in breaking the bike well before the hubs even blink.

slothrop posted:Jeez. Is a driveshaft usually considered a wear item or are you having a string of bad luck? I think the car has stepped up in pace and we have found out we cant run second hand driveshafts anymore :/ The bigger brakes have allowed KB to drive faster and hence working the suspension a lot harder.. and hence more movement. Thence more stress on driveshafts

Or that getting your collective knickers in a twist about hilariously small expenditures of public funds on contraception etc is totally backward when you consider the costs of the inevitable alternative result. Most of the Western world seems to be able to do that. Even some of the third world.
