Long term renting sucks, landlords who own lots of houses they rent out suck. If you rent a lone standing house for +3 years you should be able to force a buy on it. Landlord can't force you out early unless a court finds you criminally negligent or you commit a serious crime while renting. I'm more ambivalent on apartments.

One could argue that Corbyn was elected leader by the membership with a mandate to purge the Blairite MP's that don't represent the party. The early election call has torpedoed that by locking in the nominations so Corbyn should stay on and replace the candidates so that Labor can more accurately reflect the political leanings of its members for better or worse.

Evil_Urna posted:How do you propose keeping them from leaving? Or just using legal methods to off shore their money? Come up with a practical solution that does not involve Gulags, as I know you all are quite fond of them. What's wrong with them leaving? The whole point is taxing their income in the UK, that still happens if they live abroad but own businesses in the UK. Also you close those legal methods.

A voter registration drive is a great move from Labor and will hopefully net them a surprise gain that the polls can't predict. Voter registration drives were a huge factor in Obama's 08 victory too.
