The Republicans meanwhile are 1 state away from being able to hold a constitutional convention. When it was that close, the list of credible reasons Clinton lost is very long indeed. Yeah, she hosed up by not listening to people on the ground and ignoring some states, and that probably would have won it for her otherwise. But so would no Comey letter. So would less sexism. So would an awful lot of things. And the Dems actually seem to be making a good effort to revitalize themselves? New DNC leadership, the main Dems you hear from these days are Bernie and Warren, etc. etc.. Meanwhile the GOP holds all three branches of government and the last hundred days is a long litany of their hilarious defeats, failures, fuckups, and eating of poo poo. Not that poo poo's not hosed, but at least the US has people willing and able to oppose the loving government, and a Constitution that still seems robust enough to back them up.

The evidence of how people approach data, IT security, and frankly just about anything shows that the highest consideration, the greatest thing people want, is convenience. Everyone has the same password everywhere because remembering a bunch of bullshit numbers is bad enough, doing it for 14 different logins is out of the question. People happily give Facebook all their info because FB is a great way to stay in touch and communicate and make plans and so on. Digital piracy wasn't stopped in its tracks by DRM, it was stopped by the fact that Netflix/Hulu/Steam/Spotify make it far easier to do it legally than illegally. Convenience is above all.

Millisle in Norn Iron was the best because it had about five different amusements in a village of like a thousand people, and of them one was entire video games, one was entirely gambling, and the other three were mixes. So my granny would take me with a huge pile of coins she'd saved through the year and she'd play the slots and I'd play the real games and then we'd go to the best chippy on the planet. Even better was when we were at my Uncle Bobby's caravan because it was just down the road. I saw the biggest feckin' crab of my life when we were all playing on the beach and ran away like a wee girl. Anyway that's enough nostalgia.

Christ, Paxo's awful these days. I actually felt bad for May because he's constantly asking "Have you changed your mind [on Brexit]?" as though it matters. I don't like Brexit and I don't like her or the Tories. But what the hell does it matter whether she, personally likes the idea of Brexit or not? Unless you're going to argue she's going to pull the rug out and cancel Art 50, it's utterly immaterial. All he wanted was a gotcha where she says something daft. Well, I don't mind that against the Tories because I want them to get a hammering next month, I admit, but it's hardly good for substantive political discussion, is it? Not really doing anything to allow more room for nuance. And sure I don't expect your average wankstain reporter to do that in a three minute bit with a shadow cabinet member or whatever, but when it's ostensibly a long and serious interview, it's a little bit poo poo. I reckon he made his mark with "Did you threaten to overrule him" and thinks that's all anyone wants now.
