I'm not a CT guy (most of my experience in in counterproliferation/nuclear stuff) but this session got me smart on some interesting stuff. Good God my man. Also, don't underestimate how much the Freedom Caucus plays into the current situation vs. past unified governments. The FC is essentially a separate entity that caucuses with the Republicans and the reason Ryan (and Boehner before him) can't get anything done is due to this split within the Republican party.

Donnie thinks the Continuing Resolution deal was so bad that there absolutely must be a shutdown on October 1st and the filibuster must be removed.
