The tools of a hero mean nothing without a solid core.

Some scenes seem much more suited to one of the Niers than the other. That "Yes! You and I are friends now!" bit feels like it was shot with Brother Nier in mind. Fits more of a juvenile enthusiasm thing.

With that body language, definitely. The animations look a little ridiculous for an old man.

Yeah, that's what pings it for me. The sentiment works.

Yoko Taro's idea of a "Happy Ending" would be amusing to see.

So he's Russian?

Newly uploaded stuff processes low-res first. The other resolutions will come in time as Yo-tub gets around to it.

Remember that bar quest, the only time Popola and Devola sing together?

Well... not quite. And this is why the beginner warning is "do NOT Google the music".

The tools of a hero mean nothing without a solid core.

quote:

The brothers came to town worn, poor, and hungry but were welcomed as family.

In gratitude, each one swore that they would hunt the greatest beast as a trophy.

Consumed by pride and jealousy, one brother slew the other and claimed their prize.

Returning triumphant, he found only ashes and corpses from an attack he wasn't there to protect from.

Not happy with the flow of the last line but there's a lot of "obligatory weapon story twist" I want to cram in there.

[...] and Platinum Games does some stellar dynamic music mixing in their games (See: Revengeance for a perfect example, as extra layers of the song and/or the actual vocals fade in and out depending on the action level).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM33Hr94SKw being the most well-known one. That is not accident, if you rush in they delay the boss's attack so that they can drop in the vocal track at the right place and suddenly you've gone from gameplay to choreographed cutscene without a hitch in the atmosphere. This blend of music without jarring is not easy to do, and is amazing when folks pull it off.
