In a market already automated, making people 'work' for their welfare (ostensibly as "training" for jobs that no longer exist) by living in a Matrix-esque 20th century simulation of what a work place is will just seem cruel. Soon we will have machines and software that can do any job the average person can do to a higher standard and for cheaper. Anything other than the total welfare of people who no longer have the ability to contribute in any meaningful way will fall short eventually.
