Demon Lord Dante's OP is a valid example of this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQ7RFwQ8xec The song is catchy enough and the sequence has a couple of good parts...but the cheap 3D effects and limited animation budget drag it down. I guess you could say the concept, which is basically proto-Devilman, is most of what makes me feel a small amount of fondness for it.

All of these have been weaksauce. You want something from the Tenjou Tenge generation that is both boring to watch and yet have a pretty freaking awesome song? Meet Air Gear. I actually bought the CD this song comes off of just because I dug the song that much. (It wasn't good.)
