We do have a constitution, it just isn't in one ancient document. Instead it is a collection of various laws, treaties, court rulings etc. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution_of_New_Zealand basically you can't look at one document out of context and assume you have read and understand the constitution.

I thought we had it. Remember the South Canterbury Finance collapse and the investors being paid out. Despite Treasury repeatedly informing the government they were in breach of the conditions and should be kicked out.
