Yeah, it's a bit of a bummer, though I'm starting to get a BIT of an idea how to manipulate the turn order. It's very slight, but yeah. Anywho, let's get into the next chapter, with an even goofier name: THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP~~~

You manipulate the turn order by putting in Marino and then getting her into her Hyper Mode :v: (also you should feed her the build armor and build power if you like her, she's kinda not great otherwise but with some work she's fantastic. Don't give her build speed though cause she's got that well-covered) by the midgame she will easily take over the turn order when she goes QuickSilver.

Also if you're jonesing for healing use Cinammon. Her Action Trigger is a full party heal that will eventually heal for 100% HP once she gets enough level-ups. Leveling her up is also important because that determines which FMs you can make. Also her unique subweapon Energy Field increases the party's WE gain until her next turn. This includes Cinammon's WE gain. You can use two of them on her. Her hyper mode also increases the party's WE gain in addition to boosting her stats. She is also a stupid strong fighter if you get her a better weapon (like those Kitty Gloves I was talking about) so the only thing that gets her down is her low HP. But that's okay, she takes half damage from all elements. By default. She's stupid good.

Zero is the glassiest glass cannon that ever glassed. You should focus on giving him stuff that makes him hit stuff better or makes him hit stuff more. Don't give him any Build Armors though, it's a waste, especially since his ultimate weapon nukes them to 0 to convert them into attack power. He also has a second Hyper Mode so uh Don't use his unique Force Metal though, it's poo poo.

Silver and Gold Mettaurs drop a shitton of zenny but they decrease the amount they drop after each one of your character's turns. So you need to take them out in one, powerful hit. Paging Dr. Massimo.

In general, you're better off using stuff that buff your dudes as your subweapons. Generator (Energy Field Cinammon. You can do Generator + Energy Field but IMO double Energy Field is the way to go) is a good one since it's free WE, Power Charge is a favourite and can stack twice (and you can use Gain Attacks to boost your dmg even further) and Combat Absorber has its uses. Give the Bait subweapon to Axl (you can get one from deployments) so that enemies will target him (and make him go into Hyper Mode to nullify the damage, works best if he gets 2-3 Build Hypers). Heat Haze is good for Zero and IIRC it works with his Action Trigger for hits galore. Check out Oil Can as well since that lets you reduce enemy elemental resistance (remember that Charge Collider on X Fire is fire elemental!). Item Capture is useful too, though only for random encounters, for bosses just use Marino's Action Trigger (for real you coulda stolen a Twin Fire from Jentra as well as 100 Tank energy. Use the Analysis FME to find all this out).
+exp/+zenny/+FME subweapons have their uses too but only while farming really. Give em to a character who doesn't really use subweapons (X is my go to, though I usually prefer to give him Power Charge so I can Hyper Mode + C) if you want to use them on bosses, but
I'm gonna be totally honest, subweapons that deal direct damage are kind of a newbie trap. Even the elemental ones are okay at best. You're better off using them for buffs and debuffs rather than a source of damage. I don't think you can get all of the above, only after massive amounts of deployments and crafting, but you should try anyway because the ones the game throws at you are not great.

Well done on beating Jentra despite being in a bad state. The game sort of expects you to use the three Maverick Hunters (Axl To down Jentra and use Silver Horn's AoE, Zero for damage, X to follow-up both) but you did a good job given your resources. Glad to see you using the items, as you can see, they can really gently caress up enemies. The dude who makes this game has a hard-on for item use, so check out your other items against PITA enemies (That Hacking could be used on the Preons who were with Jentra to stop them from making your party weak to fire attacks. No point in hoarding them, you can only carry 9 of each item anyway).

Seriously get the Analysis FM and equip it, you're making your life harder without it.

DoA is indeed Death on Arrival, as Lindsay guessed. Meaning attacks which inflict instant kill. DoA Protection stops you from getting OHKO'd but not from their damage. You'll know DoA proc'd on an attack if you see a red "CRASH" text above the damage number and the character suddenly keels over with 0 HP. Most often this attack is called Codebreaker and its used by the first arc's Major End Boss and by the Final Boss. Honestly, it's not worth it. Codebreaker only has a 25% chance to proc DoA and the force metal itself takes like 8 Erosion points to equip, which is not worth it.

Yeah, Marino's HM is just loving absurd at how many turns she gets. I might have to invest in some Build Hyper for her, or at least keep her stocked up with Gain Hyper.

I definitely need to take some time between Chapters 6 and 7 and re-evaluate the team, our weapons and FMs, and make a game plan for improvement before we start getting regularly steamrolled.

Ah, I see. Cinnamon needs to get a couple of turns before she can just heal anyone. Or you have to burn weapon energy items, assuming those exist. Either way that's pretty fair but no substitute for an actual e-tank when you're in crisis mode.

Why didn't you guys head back to base? You already unlocked the elevator so you have a shortcut available. You'd need like 5 mins to get back to where you were. It's a lot easier than smashing your head against the wall with 0% subtanks.

Nice, well done! Hyper Mode, items and subweapons are super important and you can do some silly poo poo when you use em right. And don't worry about those Gain Hypers, you can get more from the bats in Lagranno Ruins. It was a good call using them to get out of that situation.
Cinammon was the super right call because IIRC she takes half damage from all elemental attacks. Her Hyper Mode also increases everyone WE gain, so you actually had a few times when you could use Energy Field to get even more WE for your dudes (though I admit without Generator as her other sub Energy Field doesn't really shine, so forget what I said about 2x Energy Field).

Marino's action trigger improves when she levels up. I believe she gets more moves at levels 20, 25 and 30.
Axl's unlocks more bosses as you defeat them. So you unlocked Incentas who uses his Asura Knuckle. Which you will never use as it's a multi-hit, multi-target, non-elemental attack and thus useless.

The enemy aiming is an intentional choice I think. Especially since you can get the Bait subweapon which makes enemies aim exclusively at the character who uses it.

Also drat you guys are pushing 90k zenny. IMO at this point you might as well hold out until you get the Lagrano Key since by that point you could outfit Massimo, Cinammon and Axl with their ultimate weapons. Though restore your items. As you can see, they are super necessary.

Nah it's a good call. Especially buying the items, Backups are expensive but they're worth it. Reboot is honestly more worthwhile for high HP characters like Massimo since he can take a hit. It's the Phoenix Down problem FF9 had :v:
You guys went a bit nuts, but this will give you a chance to experiment with the various weapon types. Though IMO the Guard Lance series is useless, speed is pretty important and they tank it hard. Axl's anti-enemy guns also have a problem in that they fall off quickly (well his best weapon in the game is an anti-boss gun, because it also hits like 10 times, but it drops from the ultimate post-game boss so uh). In general, more speed/more hits=better. Eh, you'll prob see it for yourself soon enough.
And buying a Scope Buster for X especially was a good call since his best weapon costs a cool 100k (but is totally worth it since it makes him hella fast) so he needs something to stay relevant in the mean time. Plus more crit and an increased hit rate is never a bad thing.

You can't buy Gain Hypers (I swear you could but apparently not), you have to farm them from those bat enemies at Lagrano and in the Mines.

Zero's weapons are annoyingly obtuse to understand so here's the skinny:

Z-sabers-standard, baseline series and honestly pretty good. Hits twice

Elemental Sabers- Element based, usually high attack, but hits once

Ichimonji-Halves damage dealt, but ignores enemy armor. Hits twice

Doubletooth- Defensive swords, don't use these. Zero's a glass cannon and these hit only once

Z-rapier-Lower than average power and def, but they hit 3 times. That's 6 times with Heat Haze and 9 times with two Heat Hazes. Use this + 2x Heat Hazes + his action trigger at once to see some really silly poo poo.

Soul Saber- Quasi-ultimate sword featuring surprisingly good power and great defenses and speed. Also boosts attack when Zero <25% health. Hits once though

Red Lotus Saber- Hits 3 ti-no wait stop where are you taking me

X and Marino's weapons are similarly annoying to deal with.

This is one of the weirder segments in the game, but what you gotta do is find the 100% tower near the dome, examine it, and then follow the direction of the cables.

MM3 had a pretty distinctive soundtrack for the series. I think they might have intended it as the final chapter? I think you can judge how much the later Megas Man copy weapon get and stage select themes and such from each other, but MM3 was all kind of its own animal in that regard.
