Curious stuff coming out of Amazon Italy of all places with three unnamed Square-Enix titles being thrown up for pre-order. Two are for PC/PS4/XB1 and one is just PC/XB1, so maybe Microsoft is getting their next weird generational exclusive Xbox game like how 360 had Last Remnant?

I'll do it. Adam West was a great surfer, caped crusader, and as a tribute to his secret passion, dlc cameos you can wear his death shroud as a storm trooper Helmut in SW Battalion 2. 14.99$ some proceeds go to Vets with Pets, most to EA .I'm going to miss Adam West

VR is basically the newest version of games getting waggle on Wii shoe horned into them yet people are excited about it. It's never going to take off because most people don't want to strap a visor to their head and the kinds of games you can do with it are pretty limited. Oh boy another spooky scary first person game for vr

Vr games are a lot of fun and are very neat but they're expensive and the good ones require a whole room of set up. Well that's my take

BeanpolePeckerwood posted:Maybe it's a current technological necessity, but it just seems like VR has nothing in common with videogames AT ALL, and yet the only thing people can think to do with the tech is shoehorn it into traditional videogame paradigms. It seems to me that the actual application for VR is virtual telepresence. No one will ever admit that though. I heard a (possibly apocryphal) anecdote a couple years ago about a surgeon in the US doing VR surgery on a soldier in Afghanistan.

Anyone with past experience know how early I should be there to get seats? idk, they keep pushing back the time you need to get there each year so the time it says on gofobo is a full hour before the conference starts, and the email says they'll let anyone in 15 minutes before that time and to get there 30 minutes before. I've never had problems getting in but it's also not a popular location so good luck.

I'd just gone to get my ticket and they were like "oh hey here's your goodie bag and you can go in if you want" and had nothing better to do.

Oculus Rift haver here, VR is worth every penny if only for Star Trek Bridge Crew because I nearly fell over in pain from laughing so hard at a British person doing a fake "I'm givin' her all she's bloody got captain!" accent. Also I live in NYC so H3VR is the only way I can go to a functional gun range regularly. Superhot VR is basically a Neo simulator. Sairento VR is a cyber ninja simulator in where you can run on walls and shoot dual pistols at cyber-geishas and chop off cyber-samurai heads with a glowing sword. Soundboxing is my new workout regiment. Elite Dangerous is the best "full game" experience because buzzing around space will never get old. Everspace is basically Freelancer meets Rogue Legacy in VR. Virtual reality totally kicks rear end and is totally going to get more affordable as time goes on, but right now is really a fantastic time to get in.

I went to a Lantern Light festival, and there was a booth that had roller coaster simulators that used VR head sets. I didn't ride it myself, but other people seemed to enjoy it. Also, Six Flags apparently has some sort of VR integration for one or more of their rides.

Yeah, Bridge Crew is great, and it's amazingly free of assholes. Positive side effect of a tiny dedicated audience, I guess. Studios are slowly figuring out how to make games that are better in VR than not.
