I know two people who have had their car nicked by trolleys. I kinda love them, but at the same time, SEPTA drivers are the epitome of philly. That said, how is SEPTA fairing? I haven't lived in philly in a couple of years, but I try to follow what's going on since I'm considering moving back, (ok, probably moving back to the other side of the river, but within PATCO distance) last I checked in there was the ever present threat of a strike, since they apparently haven't completely ratified the deal, at least not when I heard, but honestly, it's probably my favorite public transport system.
