It must be a surreal experience for Montgomery. He's watching the starting rotation explode around him, and has had to come in out of the pen multiple times this season now to pitch multiple innings and bail out terrible starters. And (so far) he's done a phenomenal job of it. And yet somehow he's still not gotten a crack at starting this season.

e. also lol what is with these dumb infield hits.

Every time MLB plays this Buster Posey commercial all I can think of is that he's an rear end in a top hat for not giving Carl a lift in his Prius and forcing him to find his own way to the potluck because Buster wanted to surprise his wife.

Yeah but somehow throwing them in there isn't as funny as just saying the D-backs and Brewers are legit contenders.

I knew that was going to happen when they brought him in. A grand slam is good and all but a walk or base hit would have won it all.

Yeeesh that was a painful series. Really wish the Cubs could pick up some momentum, at this rate they're going to be hovering right around .500 all year.

I certainly remember when the Mets decided a shot at a WS run was more important than his long-term health and stood to the side shrugging their shoulders while the NY media tore into Harvey and called him selfish for wanting to follow his doctor's proscribed IP limit.
