Qatar themselves are going to give Neymar a 300 million contract to headline WC 2022. And he will pay off his release clause himself with it with no involvement from PSG

So he essentially will be a free transfer to PSG lol

That is some shady poo poo

Er, or he could just keep 300 million and do whatever...

Why would he give it away exactly?

Spurs should probably sign someone ffs

I understand that their problem is wages. All their current stars are still on their cheap, junior player wages. If they get a new signing on big wages, they'll revolt and the club will be bust, or forced to sell loads of them.

Their player wage bill is laughably low right now compared to any other club in the top 5.

That's a goddamn absurd reason not to improve the squad when all the other contenders are dropping obscene sums of money.

Well yes, even though paying their starters what they're worth could easily cost 100mil a year extra, that's probably cheap vs paying transfer fees to replace them.

Spurs have apparently never paid more than they do. It's the way they're run, and they'd need to radically change this to pay the market rate wages.

They essentially have one year to win the League / Champions league with the current squad or they're going to lose half the starting 11.

that being said if you want to be shocked and horrified take a look at labor relations and contract policy in the NFL.

Well, at least they get paid - college athletes are the ones that have it really tough.

Spurs and Ajax aren't doing too poorly in that regard either. Any guesses how much RM will pay for Alli next summer after all the crazy poo poo this year?

I can't quite understand why these European teams are going after Coutinho, but ignoring the spurs stars. All are paid a pittance vs any other top team.

Don't get it. If you paid the release, why isn't he signed today...?

Laughing at Arsenal is fun, but my brother is an Everton fan, and he's bitching that they've had 9 months to line up a replacement for Lukaku, and after selling him early in the window failed to sign one

Rumour there was Diego Costa on loan till January.
