Central Scouting Preseason 2018 NHL Draft Projections Comments I think I got everyone on this group who specified a team. Still a few people left who haven't requested a team. I'll do the All-Star Break stuff tomorrow. Spoilers: Somebody makes the NHL already.

2018 All-Star Break Update Central Scouting All-Star Break 2018 NHL Draft Projections Current Draft Order Transaction News None (It won't show in the list when a goalie gets moved up to the NHL/down to the AHL because of injuries) Comments Dundee gets to see some NHL time in his rookie season! (Obviously he needs more work) Looking back at the AHL standings from the last time I did this, it was an entirely different league back then. Because the California teams play less games, the league uses Points percentage instead of Points straight up. http://tinyurl.com/NHL-Create-A-Goon-2017 for complete stats See if you can find my new feature for this year...

Aunt Jemima posted:Any chance on a CHL update? Good question, and something I forgot to relay for the new people. In this game (BeAGM mode specifically), it adheres to the AHL/CHL rule where if you come from a CHL team and are under 20 years old, and don't make the NHL, you go back to your CHL team. Effectively removing you from the game for the entire season. Unfortunately no standings, stats, etc. You just go into a holding pattern for a season. Since Ogilthorpe, Potetson, Dundee, etc were not on a CHL team, they don't have to follow that rule, and can stay in the AHL. It's too late to make any changes for upcoming drafts, so you're stuck with what you picked at the beginning.

End of 2017-18 Regular Season Update Current Draft Order Transaction News None Comments So, the AHL season ends about a week after the NHL season, so these end of season updates will only be 99% final for the standings, and I'll go through and update the individual AHL stats in the playoff update. I'll post the final Draft Projections right before the draft. http://tinyurl.com/NHL-Create-A-Goon-2017 for complete stats

Furnaceface posted:Hockles was the first draft year pretty stacked? Some goons went as low as third round meanwhile this one looks to have everyone going first round. It's hard to say, because prospects come in with ratings in the 50s-70s. The game never populates rookies that are "Rookie ready" with OVRs that would let them make the NHL right away.

Top Hats Monthly posted:This happens to me whenever I sim a game, I had myself set up as a total bruiser goon with little hockey skills, still racking up points like you need two for a bingo Yeah, the days of getting 400 PIM in a season are long gone. Even through these sims. I believe the AHL leader in this season had 220ish PIM. They took out game misconducts, and cut down on fighting, so I'm pretty sure that helped knock those numbers down. In real life, the AHL leader had 149 PIM, and the NHL leader had 154. So, it's not too far off reality. e: I said points... Turdsdown Tom posted:So am I gonna have to wait like 6 in-game years for Touchdown Thomas to make it to his first NHL game? No idea how that system works in-game. Considering I got assigned to some ultra small poo poo-tier farm team, I'm assuming it's going to be a while until his name starts to pop up. Think of the CHL (consists of the QMJHL, OHL, & WHL) like the feeder league into the NHL, similar to NCAA>NFL. But, it would be like if the Patriots drafted a kid from OSU that was a Junior that declared for the draft, but didn't make the 53 man roster out of training camp. Because he wasn't the proper age (let's say 22 in NFL), he would get sent back to OSU. Like you were sent back to the CHL because you didn't make the NHL and were underage (20 in the NHL). Once you hit 20, you can get sent to the AHL (the AAA-style affiliate of the NHL). Progression ramps up pretty quickly in the first couple years, so most people should be hitting the NHL by their 3rd year. a false posted:another year, another hall of fame athanatos drafted by the leafs Athanatos posted:well poo poo Not quite.
