I have so many things to suggest that I would almost just direct you to a couple of spotify lists I made. It really depends on what genre of music you're looking for, I suppose. Not-so-experimental but totally solid rock stuffs - The Virgins, Tally Hall, Rooney, Death From Above 1979, WE ARE TWIN, Faded Paper Figures If you're looking for something a little different... The Paper Chase, Mr. Bungle (California is my favorite album of all time), Deerhoof, The GO! Team I've been listening to more electronic stuff lately and stumbled into the goodness of BMSR and Tobacco... not everything is great so I'll link my favorite songs by both of them.
