I'm just thinking about all the times in the past half decade or so people have been asking Nintendo developers (not just their PR people but the actual game devs) about remakes and things and they could usually be coy, but a lot of the time would say no, not right now, or "Please tell the audience I laughed at the question." Which wasn't meant to be a rude laugh so much as it was a wry laugh I guess? IIRC it was from Aonuma when an interviewer asked him in 2014 if they would ever see a remake of Majora. Of course by that time Grezzo had already been working on the 3DS Majora for a while, so he knew.

Just like he knew (probably?) knew about the 2D Metroid in development when they sprung that question on him a few months ago.

Even though he's got nothing to do with Metroid really so it was a weird thing to ask him in the first place.

remember when people asked if botw's (more) androgynous (than usual) link was a woman and he was kinda coy and then it turns out the payoff was crossdressing

So I work at a bookstore as a used book buyer and while most days you don't see anything special (or literal boxes full of cat-themed murder mysteries), I recently found and immediately acquired these bad boys:

I kinda really wanna read some cat-themed murder mysteries because goddamn it's just such a *strange* genre to exist. I've gotta know if there are any that are actually good.

There's so many it really is pretty much a subgenre of its own

Copycat Killing
Sleight of Paw
How to Wash a Cat
The Cat, The Collector and the Killer
Catnap
The Whole Cat and Caboodle
Cat on the Edge
Curiosity Thrilled the Cat
The Cat Who Said Cheese
The Cat Who Ate Danish Modern
The Private Life of the Cat Who... (idk either)
Kneading to Die
A Cat in the Manger
Cat Deck the Halls
The Cat Who Could Read Backwards
Cat in the Dark
The Cat Who Lived High
Cat in a Flamingo Fedora
Crime and Catnip

Harmony of Dissonance.

The two castles gimmick is kinda cooler and better integrated than in sotn but the map isn't designed very well and there's a lot of unnecessary backtracking and progress gated by literal keys. Pretty solid otherwise tho

Maybe? The first time I played Dawn/Aria I didn't grind souls at all and had a good time. It's not really something you have to do unless you want to become overpowered.

I guess you're out of luck if you're an obsessive completionist though.

Dawn's map has far fewer weapons strewn about than other games (except maybe sotn?) so you gotta deal with the crafting if you wanna keep up

I feel the same about Simon Castlevania IV as I do about Samus in Super Metroid. Developers went way above and beyond to make sure your character is the most agile they've ever been in the series and has more moves than they probably need. Then, for reasons unknown, they were taken away in later games never to be seen again.

Samus only got more agile in the 2D games following Super though. She couldn't even grab ledges!

I honestly think the thing that's hurting BOTW right now in comparison to Horizon is that I played Horizon on the best game controller ever made and I'm playing Zelda on these weird pickle things where the sticks are asymmetrical and the face buttons are directly below them, and it strains my thumbs to constantly switch from one to the other. The Joycon grip helps a little bit but I don't want to have to spend 60 dollars on top of the 300 I just spent just to have a controller that doesn't feel like mush. I hope with a few more hours I can get used to this

I also played botw with the greatest controller ever put to hand, the wii u pro controller

Fun story: there was this time she was being creeped on back when she was a freshman in college and the creeper was some guy who looked exactly like george r r martin and even wore the same hat, except he was like 22 years-old. Also he kept getting her name wrong, calling her Melanie, so he didn't even know her name and, in fact, he said something along the lines of "The way I remember your name is Melanie is that I remember the name Melody and I think of melody and I know your name is similar to that"
