The last time the Astros were remotely close to this good, I was in a phase where I didn't pay attention to sports at all so this is new and fun for me.

Also that ketchup slip and slide is a disaster

The Astros have never been this good, not even in 98 (e: pre-Randy trade)

e2: For shits and giggles just looked at the 98 team and welp nevermind the 98 team was better lol

Three 6+ WAR position players, one 5+, Randy Johnson had a 4.3 WAR in 11 loving games

That's Dan Gladden (yes the same one that scored the run in game 7), he has some pretty great moments. He also always brings his glove to the booth just in case a foul goes up there.

Though he does suffer from bouts of "old baseball player" to balance it out.

Stick a fork in Grilli, he's done.

Four home runs in 2/3 of an inning. 4.7 HR/9 before today over the season (in 17.2 innings, but whatever).

I'm watching the Cub game now and there's a Legit Lester Pickoff, a 12-pitch Heyward a/b that ends him slowly rolling it over to second, and a BEEFSLAM and I'm so angry at myself for watching Lester load the bases with no one out in the first and then peaking at the final score to decide whether to actually watch it.

I ragequit after the Schwarber slam. Judging by the box score I didn't miss anything that would have improved my day.
