Batflip of the year candidate. https://twitter.com/NBCSGiants/status/871101051058835456 The fact that it was a flyout to center just adds to it IMO.

Sydin posted:The closest I can think of is Colorado and Reyes. They didn't release him immediately, but they did very quickly start looking for trade partners and, when they couldn't find any, got rid of him even though they had to eat his $30m+ contract. I guess I should amend to say they should at least immediately start putting the wheels in motion to dump him. Even then, a lot of it had to do with the fact that Trevor Story was playing better than Reyes had been, so the Rockies had no on-field reason to hold on to him.

I really hope no one's left on the current Giants roster after the trade deadline except for Buster Posey, Madison Bumgarner, and the rookies.

Hey Astros fans how interested are you in trading for Hunter Strickland? He has a 2.08 ERA and 26 SO in 26 IP but some Royals players homered off of him in 2014 so watch out

The Giants are bad right now but no one sane in the Bay Area is too concerned because: 1. This is the core that won 3 World Series Championships, so you can't blame the Front Office for sticking with them as long as they possibly could. 2. The Giants will be good again, since this team is well run and has plenty of money. The farm system is underrated but lacks impact prospects since they haven't picked in the top half of the draft in some time. They've drafted excellently when they've had early picks (Lincecum, Bumgarner, Posey) and OK when they've had later ones (Panik, Arroyo). 3.
