Yeah, I'm not going to give the UFC the benefit of the doubt when they keep signing and promoting the hell out of unknown fighters plucked from the B-leagues mostly because they look pretty. For the longest time those idiots kept insisting the Diaz brothers weren't a draw even when they were getting some of the loudest pops from the crowd every time their face was projected. If the UFC tried, really tried, like ever to heavily promote DJ and it led to horrible PPV sales, then fine maybe they'd have a point that flyweights can't be sold.

She won her last 4 fights by KO, finished her last 6 wins, and never fought Cyborg, so it could be the only potential opponent for Cyborg who might be interesting. If they don't strip de Randamie, then I assume this would be for an interim championship. edit: Megan is also very active, 3-4 fights a year. I want the fight to happen because I'm happy for Megan Anderson, she's fun to watch in Invicta and it would be nice to see her earn real money. If she actually won that would be a good thing. Cyborg will probably pummel her though, and then we'll have to keep hearing about her poo poo.

They aren't really seperate because they will be fighting to earn a UFC contract, but they probably made Dana's little side project legally independent so that the UFC can't be sued if something terrible happens. I imagine they'll probably also make it clear in the contracts that winning the fight does not guarantee a contract, though in practice that'll probably be the case. TJ is not entitled to poo poo if he fails to make weight, these catchweight bouts only happen when the opponent says "ok fine, damnit, I'll take the 20% bribe, lets fight". Things are different for DJ when he's looking at both a title fight and a record-breaking title defense hanging on TJ's ability to make 125
