well duh one is better in a h2h but both have the exact same chance of making the finals (none) and both are gonna get stomped and get a free bad draft pick in return

well also theres no way in hell the cavs were a borderline playoff team. by ws/48 the actual 8th seed had 5 better players than the cavs best, the 7th seed had 6 better players and the 6th seed had 7 better players. the actual fringe playoff teams had entire lineups better than the cavs whole roster. how one can see this and think that means the cavs were a playoff team is....mysterious

A Buff Gay Dude posted:*checks advanced stats* It's almost as if they decided to throw the season about a month in, very strange i mean, no thats not what that means but even if it did, what can i use besides your eye test if their record doesnt count and the quality of their players doesnt count? also how much do you want to bet if i look at the split stats theres 0 difference after a month

http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CLE/2011/splits/ heres the split stats. unfortunately no advanced stats but we can see they won most of their games past the 1st month despite apparently starting to tank then. they also never in any month scored more points than they gave up. kinda odd for a Surefire Playoff Team. wheres this huge falloff from when they decided to start tanking? i feel like i should stop now but it takes about 10 seconds to prove every stupid thing you say wrong so oh well. whats the next excuse for why they were really a secret playoff team. the actual playoff teams had entire units better than their roster, they were 18 wins off of being the 8th seed and from a cursory glance theres no difference in their play after a month, if anything they were better at the end of the season so the tanking theorys shot.

we named dogs FIDO not because they are Freaks, Irregulars, Defects and Oddities, but because we expect fidus from them, fidelity as their constant trait. A feral dog possesses no loyalty and I cannot respect a creature who is not faithful to his family.
