I predict the Preds will win tonight but the Pens will win the Cup in 7 glorious games

All we need is Rinne laying out Kessel in the crease and it will be perfect Oh, and half of Nashville burning down after the Peds lose Game 7, that too

Apparently making contact with a guy who is carrying the puck is a penalty now?

Oh I see, that was a loving dirty play by Hornqvist not moving out of Ellis's way there, good call

If I had last change I would definitely wait until Hainsey/Maatta take the ice to spend my PP1 out

That is one of the most loving retarded challenges I have ever seen What the gently caress are you doing Sully?
|
# ¿ Jun 6, 2017 01:53 |

If there's 5 minutes left in the game I understand that challenge, but it very obviously was not interference and it's loving stupid to waste your timeout in the first period on a no-hoper

Sullivan seems to believe that if the Pens fall behind 2-0 they're cooked Which is somewhat worrisome

I kinda wish the Pens' PP wouldn't spend so much time along the side boards Taking a penalty near the end of a period is the worst though, it means the other team can use its PP1 the entire power play Which is especially bad in the Penguins' case since their PP1 scores like 97% of their power play goals

Captain Internet posted:It amazing how much the NHL stands to benefit from the Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey Club win the Stanley Cup for the second time in a row. I mean how bad would it be to have a first time champion in a potential hotbed in the south by leveraging its unique environment from other sports. It would be POISON for Bettman with Nashville wins. It definitely keeps him awake at night....because of his uncomfortable greed boner because holy loving poo poo No no no, the proper argument to make is that NBC controls the NHL, and thus the refs, and, if the TV schedule is any indication, the only two teams whose existence NBC is even aware of are the Penguins and Blackhawks.

# ¿ Jun 6, 2017 02:16 |

Actually the best explanation for the refs being biased in the Penguins' favor is that Bettman does indeed want Nashville to win, but lolbettman

drat, I thought that was Jultz and was excited there, then he turned slightly and I saw it was 14 not 4 and was like, welp

How in the hell do you give up a breakaway to a guy who skates like he's underwater though??

# ¿ Jun 6, 2017 02:33 |

I'm glad they're having fun chanting, but I'm pretty sure Murray knows drat well that it is not his fault As does anyone else who has functional eyes and a blood alcohol level below .45

I think I actually prefer the Pens being on the PK with Hainsey in the box to even strength with Hainsey on the ice

The trouble with defensemen as bad as Pittsburgh's is that you can turtle on a lead and still generate scoring chances against them

I still feel good about the Penguins winning the Cup, except for the nagging worry that if the Preds score 5 tonight MAF may start Thursday
|
# ¿ Jun 6, 2017 02:55 |

Worst case scenario: Murray starts Game 5 but gets chased, MAF gets a 47 save shutout in Game 6 and then makes 49 saves in a 1-0 Game 7 loss, followed by the Penguins deciding to keep him and trade Murray away ahead of the expansion draft

This game's pretty exactly what we all worried about coming into this series though: Pens are pretty good, get some chances, but the defensemen are just too drat weak to hold up. And it looks like Sully is prepared to go down playing Hainsey and Maatta near 20 minutes each to the bitter end, which I may never quite understand
