I worked in a liquor store for five years during uni. One of the dumbest things someone tried to convince me of was that if an item didn't have a price tag, you had to sell it at the price of the item next to it on the shelf. Also, this comes up every time a retail thread starts but if you work for a big chain store and you're not actively trying to gently caress them over at every opportunity you're doing retail wrong.
