Vertical Lime posted:https://twitter.com/daldridgetnt/status/877000668384563201 If the Clippers sign no one else long-term, they potentially have empty salary if DeAndre and Austin Rivers decline their player option. The Lakers are still paying Mosgov and Deng 34 million dollars that year.

David griffin was very good at the technical things of the salary cap, maximizing trade exceptions that both gained very good role players while saving the cavs money. He was a really, really good gm for that team.

The best move is Phil having to trade Zing to salary dump Noah as part of the trade

So it seems like nobody in the lottery wanted to straight up trade their pick for DeAngelo. Is he really worse than 5-10 of this draft?

Green shot 38% from 3, that's basically his offense and he's still an elite overall perimeter defender. Instantly 20 teams would like him on their starting team, especially with his salary.

OzFactor posted:I really want the Warriors to revive Nick Young's career in a Javale McGee-like way. Alternatively he should definitely, definitely sign up to be a third or fourth alpha. Did you actually watch Nick Young this season? He's declining his player option because his career was revived by Walton.

If both Iggy and Livingston leave, that basically just leaves McCaw as the only decent player outside of the core four on contract next season. A lot of the warriors success was because they actually had way better depth than 2016, especially in the Big department. A lot of their next year success is still going to depend on ring chasers and who they can get with the MLE.

BetterLekNextTime posted:I guess it's dumb to worry about positions with the Warriors, but it seems like they are going to need a PG and bigmen more than a 3. Maybe he'd take Clark's minutes assuming S-dot and Iggy both come back? McCaw is probably going to play 10-15 minutes regularly next season. He needs to gain weight, but they were comfortable letting him start at SF against certain teams.
