From the Waypoint talk on BG&E2, it seems like they have the right idea and the team is fully aware that the stuff in it is super ambitious. Like that's the point of the Space Monkey stuff, to let the community help them keep on track. Which hopefully they don't listen to NewDongCity420 on major gameplay decisions. I'm optimistic, but I'm extremely braced for that game to never exist.

I'm glad it's China who's the big gaming movie market and not Korea or else we'd be halfway through a MOBA dodecalogy

It bothers me that the two modern Wolfenstein game subtitles include the adjective "New"

Yeah, but "The New Colossus" comes with a pretty great heaping of irony for a Wolfenstein game set in Nazi-occupied America.

I'm not necessarily sure Warcraft as movie is even a bad idea, they just chose a really bad story to use. e: wow that's a lotta posts in the time it took me to type this, huh.

Warcraft was surprisingly entertaining and well produced for what it was (a soulless orgy of CGI), probably thanks to the fact that Jones is actually talented. If you ever played WoW or the RTSes it's worth a watch stoned w/ friends imo

They're demoing Odyssey again, and showing off the water, and when Mario went in the pipe, I noticed the pipe noise made the plants move to the sound. Not sure if it was intentional or not.

I just wish they talked more about the game if they mean to talk over it.

Kotaku interviewed David Cage Despite Political Overtones, David Cage Says Detroit Is Mostly About Androids quote:“The story I’m telling is really about androids,” he told me in an interview after the demo. “They’re discovering emotions and wanting to be free. If people want to see parallels with this or that, that’s fine with me. But my story’s about androids who want to be free.” quote:“It’s the point of view of one of the two characters,” he said. “What I tried to do with this game is not be binary, not be black or white, or good or evil. Sometimes doing something bad can turn into something good, or vice versa. There’s usually more than one component [to situations in the game]. There’s the androids, there’s the humans, there’s the public, there’s the media. Your own people, what will they think of what you’re doing depending on how you do it, what you say about it to them, what you say to the humans? The situation is not binary. It’s actually quite multifaceted.” quote:“I don’t want the game to have something to say, because I don’t see myself delivering a message to people,” he said. “But I’m definitely interested in asking questions to the player. Questions that are meaningful and that resonate with him as a person and a citizen. We live in a world that’s full of hopes as well as fears. Fears about the present and also the future. Where are we going? What’s going to happen? I just want to ask these questions and see how people react.”

I'm shocked that someone would try to claim his games aren't about "Political issues" in the wake of the shocking resolution of the thirteenth machine war. The portrayal of humanity can only be due to those recent events, and I, for one, am ashamed he would try to hide behind a claim that it's "Just about androids" Glory to mankind.
