Suppose I am an Australian that might be curious if I can avoid getting absolutely loving gouged by Games Workshop. Where's the cheapest place for me to get warhams these days?

As a Noozie lander our national post office offers a service called youshop where you can get things sent to an american/chinese/uk address that they then forward back home, for items from places that would otherwise be national postage only. Is there anything in Aussie similar to that?

Where the gently caress are the Knarloc rules

I recall watching an interview in that 24 hour livestream GW did where they were talking with a rules designer about how in the GW indexes there are rules for models, specifically razorbacks with the wacky plasmagun option, which they included because even though they haven't produced a model for it in years they still wanted to exclude nobody from using their official minis.

Forgeworld didn't get this memo.

Biggest limiting factor this edition: how much IG stuff you got? 12 lascannon teams and 6 heavy bolter teams? Golden.

I don't think anyone here has that many heavy weapons, except maybe cupola boy with his heavy bolters. Actually, can you put space marine devastator squads in the back of a stormlord? :getin:

Re: the skullface biglies they look almost pigeon-toed, their feet should be facing outward with such a wide stance. They also look like they might be walking which, again, looks terrible with the wide stance. At least it looks like their legs could be altered by cutting at the bottom of the lower hit strap and rotating the legs, but that's a big piece of plastic to cut through without a saw.

Green marines: Dark Angels, Raptors or Salamanders? Why?

Dark Angels: great terminators and skimmers (though these aren't green), stylin' robes, catholic-esque secrets. Disadvantage: Will be called out as actually being chaos marines an annoying amount.

Raptors: the Practical Marines, use camo. Could apply complex weathering techniques from tank miniature painters to great effect. Disadvantage: The 40k universe is so flavourful because nobody is practical though, making them a little dull.

Salamanders: Super nice guys. Lots of fire, scales are easy to sculpt with green stuff. Disadvantage: "Oh, this chapter of black guys? They're not actually black, perish the thought! No, they're black because of a...a flaw in their geneseed. Yeah. Don't worry your little aryan head about it, these guys are white on the inside."

To be perfectly honest, I find a chapter full of pitch-black drow dudes from a lava planet less potentially offensive than a chapter full of African-American dudes with no reason for it. I do wish there was more diversity in 40k but "All the black guys are in one chapter and from one planet"

While true, I feel the right way to deal with it would've been "Salamanders have some white guys, and other chapters have some black guys" rather than "They're mutants."

You could get LITERALLY 36 strength 5 shots for the price of a rhino! That's 34 more shots, at higher strength!Talk about a ripoff!

They're selling loads of imperium triumvirate boxes because of cawl and maybe celestine, they're selling TONS of the space marine one because Guilliman is, and will continue to be in the new codex, an auto-take you'd be dumb not to have. They weren't selling eldar triumvirate boxes.

Humans, at least the nobles and inquisitors and the like, have access to rejuvenation shenanigans. The only race that doesn't have some kind of life extension technology is Tau. Them and maybe the less prestigious guardsmen are the only ones where long lived special characters should raise an eyebrow.

Guilliman was interesting for 0.3 of a second when he was all "Why did they wake me, have I not done enough to earn death?" but then he proceeded to win 100% of battles and save 100% of dudes and be just far too reasonable and infallible and uninteresting.

I like him, but again, he suffers from the same thing as the death guard troops. Too much detail obscuring the form, not enough little detail for things like texture. Mortarion is actually quite a bit better in this regard and would be perfectly fine if he lost the robes trailing down from his hood and either side of his legs.
