Imagine if nobody cared about the outcome of individual football games, the only thing that mattered was who won the Superbowl

I wouldn't call Code Geass a "fun mess" I'd call it a fun good anime. It kinda stumbles a bit at the beginning of the second season, but that doesn't make it bad or a mess. I don't even think Code Geass has "defenders" I think it has fans

In anime terms, it has given us Fullmetal Alchemist, the fire emblem anime, Free!, Full Metal Panic, Fruits Basket, and of course, the Fate series. Based on this pedigree, I am giving FLCL 2 a solid 8.17/10 I can't really argue with that

I no longer care about Aoyama, Dive is much better. Also it's very gay. Like, not in the way that all sports anime are a little gay because they're about sweaty muscular men having passionate relationship with each other, the main character of Dive is genuinely gay.
