Benson Cunningham posted:Free agency begins in 12 hours. A man can dream. Thornton and Jagr on the same line though man so much for a speed game. If Markov is available he could probably fill in on the 3rd pairing nicely if the price is right.

Juvi posted:He's basically said that that's the only route he's going to take for a 3C. There's really no one worth looking at in the free agent market, anyway. Daniel Winnik is still floating around isn't he? I know he didn't have a great time when the Pens picked him up as a deadline acquisition, but he might fill that 4C role decently enough.

I was going to go with Daigle but he apparently put up .5 pts per game so huh.

They gave him a bunch of money and he's a hilarious defensive liability.

2 time back to back Stanley cup winner Justin Schultz isn't on that list so its a bad list More seriously OEL should probably be higher and I thought Giordano was bad now? Or am I confusing him with another Flames defenseman? Doumo probably doesnt get enough credit either but probably isn't top 20 in the league? What I'm saying is lol that Letang is 8th and played zero part in winning the cup.

i am the bird posted:And there is no "antifa" in Detroit so much as there are a bunch of socialist groups, anarchists, commies, anti-racist groups like BLM or BYP100, etc. This is pretty much the definition of Antifa, fyi. In hockey news....I hope the Penguins sign some centers. Because wow is their center depth bad now.

i am the bird posted:Right but we don't even have the people who are explicitly branding themselves as antifa with the punk rock flag, etc., unless a rando wobbly or anarchist bust one out for shits and giggles. I just find it particularly hilarious when Detroit media loses its poo poo over 'the organization known as antifa.' I mean an unorganized decentralized mishmash of peoples that basically only exist together because 'gently caress fascism' is kinda how it works. The media getting twisted up over it is funny/vaguely terrifying. Agreed on the framing and sending to Ken Holland. That plot/graph is magical. Jordan7hm posted:Guentzel might end up as a center in the NHL, but I kind of doubt it. He's an offense oriented guy on a team with two top 10 centers. I think you keep Jake on the wing. It's probably too much offense to give up (potentially who knows if he's legit or hit an insane hot streak). Rowney looked good in the bits that he played, but if you could keep him as the 4c and PK guy I think he'll be safer/better. Granted Bonino didn't exactly light the world on fire with points either so it might be fine. Levitate posted:Duchene is still out there I guess but the Avs seem to want a fair bit for him. Could see them asking for a guy like Guentzel in return Getting Duchene without selling out the farm would be the crux of the issue. That lead me to looking around the league and someone like Jordan Staal, but I don't know if you want to take on his contract either. Plekanec might be an interesting one if you can get Mtl to deal. In searching a rental like Bryan Little might be the best route if something like that is even possible.
