One of the few non-depressing things I've seen in my decade of city living was a Boston terrier running and pulling a guy in a wheel chair through the park. I would have thought a dog that small wouldn't be able to pull a grown man but there it was. They both looked like they were having a really good time. Oh, I also saw a man and a dog riding a motorcycle together. The dog had on a riding helmet and goggles.
