That's how I see it too. In other news, Macron's got his excuse for the coming austerity measures: https://twitter.com/libe/status/880426421503393792 Tl;dr: There's 8 billion missing for this year's budget, which could take France over the 3% public deficit line. Macron is of course blaming Hollande and his cabinet for overly optimistic forecasts. I'm sure as minister of the economy until last summer, he couldn't possibly have known anything about it. Yes and hell the gently caress no, unless you're a black person yourself trying to reclaim the word (see: "négritude"). Rossignol deserves all the poo poo she got for using that word, especially to make that idiotic argument. Edit: Well, okay, there are several expressions using that word (like the French for "ghostwriter" that's brought up in that article, but also some pastries and stuff). Those are in a gray area at best. It's worth noting that what he says about women with 7/8 kids is inaccurate, the birth rate in most (but not all) African countries went below that in the 1990s (as you can see here). It's around 5 children per woman in most countries now. The region is just going through a typical demographic transition, it's not helpful to act like this is some kind of failure. Especially since states overreacting about a birth rate that's "too high" leads to poo poo like people getting forcibly sterilised.
