Neodoomium posted:Giulia just did a kayfabed interview where she called Unagi a worthless wrestler who should quit STARDOM and "clearly she didn't learn anything where she was the last two years" Giulia won a bunch of Joshi wrestler of the year awards so yeah it would make sense for her to say that.

Johnny Landmine posted:Given her kayfabe position it makes enough sense, but it is kind of funny coming from Giulia, whose year in Stardom has made her worse at wrestling than she was before That is completely untrue. Her matches have improved much over the year than when she first started with Stardom.

https://twitter.com/sg_oxxt/status/1359468880876294151 Card for the next Assemble show. Considering this is taking place the day before AEW Revolution I don't like Asuka and Rin Kadokura's chances of winning the AEW Women's tournament lol. Other interesting notes is no Oz Academy, Marvelous's new trainee is debuting on the show and Wave's first participation.

Watching the Takadanobaba Stardom show and I don't think I've ever seen a bigger burial in the company than Giulia did to Unagi Sayaka. Geez, I know she's not good but that's way worse than even any rookie/vet match I've seen. Completely no sells her on 4 separate occasions to the point she looks amused as how weak this girl is, even no selling a bodyslam attempt like a 300+ pound giant would to a comedy jobber. After mounting and repeatedly slapping her, she taunts her, lets her get up, no sells one last forearm and casually puts her in a basic sleeper hold causing Sayaka to pass out.

I don't think Stardom not being booked in the AEW tourney has anything to do with any bad blood. Pretty much everyone booked in the tourney is either something they used or someone related to someone they used with the exception of Rin Kadokura who was the only real surprise. Even Asuka/Veny was someone I felt they would use eventually with how much she wanted to wrestle in America.

I think internally Stardom has put all their effort into focusing on being the #1 Joshi promotion in the Japanese market and put the western market on the backburner which makes sense to me as we're not the ones that are gonna be attending their shows which drives most of the revenue. They could be better certainly. My dislike for TJPW aside, I think they've done a great job balancing trying to be more accessible to the western audience while still remembering that they're a japanese company based in japan. I have no idea what Emi's doing in Chocopro land though.

Hopefully some of this should be rectified under Bushiroad's management. Though I haven't heard bad experiences by foreign acts in awhile so hopefully they've gotten better at that.

3,318 for Stardom's Budokan show. About 900 less than what Noah got for their show a few weeks back, 200 less than what NJPW got the last time they ran that building. Good number I think considering they've really gotten nothing close to that....perhaps ever? Plus Covid is really having an effect on people willing to go out to these shows. Curious what New Japan's Budokan show tomorrow is gonna do considering they've done zero build for it and Stardom & Noah have been building their shows up for awhile. Would suck a little if they beat Stardom's number considering the amount of effort being put into each show.

I feel 100% certain Maki Itoh is the major signing Big Show is announcing at Revolution. She has a show on 3/6 but because the time difference she could make the trip before the ppv. The fact that TJPW does not have Itoh apart of the online signing only strengthens my belief.

The one season of fantasy football I played taught me that even things you think are sure bets often aren't but if it's something small like an avatar bet or something I'm down. Though if someone makes me use a Raku avatar for any decent length of time I may delete my account in shame.

That match? I was saw it but I wasn't that impressed. I would say if that match was their moty then they've had a rough year but during my limited TJPW viewing this year I saw a match I would rate much higher. Kamiyu/ Mirai for the international title at the last Korakuen show. I very much enjoyed that match.

It's not the worst name. Will take some getting used to. Curious what wwe's criteria is for who keeps their name and who needs to change. Like why does Io get to keep hers but Kairi has to change her last name. Same with Nakamura and Kenta.
