Also most of the NJPW -> AEW jumps have been because NJPW either didn't want to or couldn't pay them what they were worth, especially Aussie Open. Osperay even got NJPW's blessings to negotiate before his contract was done And if you see AEW fans being defensive over that, it's because this company is a magnet for bad faith takes.
