I was in Bogota a while back. I was walking back to my hotel room and passed by this just absolutely gross 55ish obese Euro/American dude, with an attractive 25ish Colombian woman in tow. The difference in hygiene standards was noticeable. Both of them were consenting adults, so it’s not really anyone’s business. I don’t want to see sex work banned, and I’m not going to second-guess what I’m sure are the very reasonable decisions the woman is choosing to do with her own body. But still, goddamn it was weird.

I’m in software and old so people sometimes ask for career advice. one thing they ask a lot is “how do you stay motivated to do the work?” the answer of course is that you have to learn to do the work even when you aren’t motivated I assume it’s the same for sex workers, based on no knowledge whatsoever
