When I switched to Crashplan from Mozy, a 4 year subscription for a household of computers was $72/year. Now it's $150/year. Storage is getting cheaper, and I pay timb to backup the things that are getting bigger (my iPhotos). Seems like for less than two terabytes I should pay jeff bozos or swap disks with a friend.

just curious, why did you switch

i setup crashplan pro for our server at work, it's pretty drat nice, backups to drives+cloud, unlimited delete/renamed files retention with every version possible for $10/month. we probably have at least a couple TB backed up for work and seems restoring rate is p fast.

before my boss was running carbonite server (lol). he still uses carbonite on his personal laptop and then comes into ask why outlook is running so slow and I go find carbonite is using 30% of his cpu and kill it and it works fine afterwards.

we also have some intel? nas runing with 5 drives (3 red lights are on now tho) but i never figured out how to hook it up to backup files and act as a drive on the server, so welp it's just sitting there next to the server. w/e crashplan is good and makes it seem useless anyways.

If you're having problems you're either holding the phone wrong or you have tiny girl hands.
I need to find a new place to store my 60pb of camgirl videos i am currently using amazon $5/m storage for.

actually a lot of the pornography i have is probably hard to replace. not coz rare necessarily but because torrents for porn etc die quickly. and i have almost 3tb of porn and that's a nightmare to replace

I've got:
crashplan offsite
time capsule local
a USB disk that I back up to a few times a year and take to work

my main concerns are:
disk failure
someone breaking into my house and stealing my stuff
hack or virus wiping all of my files
