So how long do you think this latest Syrian ceasefire will last?

On a lighter note, apparently Scott Walker is has the world's most milquetoast Instagram feed, and it's hilarious for reasons that remain a mystery to science.

This is next level.

I got the mug back when it first showed up. I'll see if I can find the link when I'm not browsing on mobile.

It makes for a great conversation starter at work.

Also I hate it when my lawyer hits submit on my e-QIP SF-86 too soon.

I guess his staffer also signed his name in the section swearing that the information was accurate and made in good faith, and acknowledging that any knowing false statement could be punished by fine or imprisonment?

And then all the other signature pages?

Because I know those pages are still on the e-QIP and the SF-86 hardcopy.

In fact, the e-QIP even uses digital signatures now. Harder to forge, and all that.

The one and only time I tried turbo tax, they loving failed me and I had to redo my loving poo poo. THANKS TURBO TAX.

Turbotax is legit terrible if you're still active duty. It told me that I needed to file NY state/city taxes while stationed outside the state. That turned out to be completely untrue, and getting that year's state/city taxes refunded was an enormous pain in the rear end.

New Zealand's South Island is having a bad time. Evacuations in progress, with the military mobilizing to deal with flooding in Christchurch and elsewhere.

Did we fly a bunch of bombers over NK today as a show of force? Is that a good idea? It also seems.. Like an empty threat to me.

It's not so much an immediate threat as it is a demonstration that our Air Force can reach out and hit them if they actually decided to start a fight.

We tend to make these demonstrations with aircraft that can either help penetrate air defenses (B-2) or aircraft with ALCM/CALCM capabilities (B-52). For the latter, it's a demonstration that we don't even need to enter their air defense grid to wreck them.
