I'm so glad Eph didn't go down the stupid father path, which is probably the most realistic honestly, but it's also the most boring. Also he was completely sober in this episode.

And the mother defended him throughout the trial. Don't get me wrong, like I said, I'm glad the tv character didn't do the stupid thing but if he had I wouldn't have felt like it was unrealistic.

The book ending is better but no less dumb. It was a satisfying conclusion I guess. I won't miss the show so much as I will miss Eichorst vs Setrakian.
